Obs crashing

Obs has been crashing all day today & i got hold of a staff & they claim obs doesn't support windows 8 yet it seems like windows 8 is still supported this sad i need to know my laptop is windows 11 & obs is got 2 option of windows that's windows 7 & 8

The current, supported Windows version, 30.0.2, of OBS supports Windows 10 and 11. If you need to you use Windows 7 or 8, then you'll need to use 27.2.4 https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/releases/tag/27.2.4 because newer versions use Qt 6 which is not supported on those.

I have been told obs doesn't support windows 7 or 8 anymore.

It's true but you can still use old versions or upgrade to Windows 10 if you have 7 or 8.

My laptop is windows 11 i was only gave 2 options windows 8 & 7

Don't do that. The newest version is compatible with Windows 11.
