Question / Help OBS Crashing when recording desktop

I have tried restarting this many times and it happens every time, OBS crashes after ~2 minutes of recording.

EDIT: This time I noticed that at the bottom of OBS after it crashes it says "Encoding overloaded", i'm using AMD Hardware encoding - should this happen?

I think crash is caused by your old version of AMD Encoder plugin

My OBS studio is the latest version. I am trying to record to a file at 12000 kbps, could that be the issue?

Maybe. Have yopu a different hard drive? Try to record to a different drive from your game instalation drive.

I gave up in the end used Software encoding on the CPU, Hardware encoding doesn't appear to work at higher bitrates.
