Hey guys, so I don't know if hardware failing in my PC has coincided perfectly with me updating to Windows 11 or not but it's either that or Windows 11 has just given me headaches.
In the last 2 weeks or so, OBS has been just seemingly struggling more and more for some reason. Sometimes when I start my Stream it says "Encoder took too long", that's rarer but has happened a couple of times. The most frequent is that whilst streaming, I've started getting consistent whole PC stutters and seizures whilst gaming/streaming. Eventually it typically leads to OBS just fully crashing. My whole image preview will freeze, along with my stream going offline. I can still click all buttons etc but nothing actually works but acts as though the window is fine. Eventually it freezes and goes to "Not responding". Sometimes this even freezes my whole pc or my whole PC screen starts flashing which is why I worry it's a hardware error. this mostly happens when I wrestle task manager open and click "end task" on OBS Studio.
I blame Windows 11 currently as I upgrade in the last month or so and NEVER had any issues at all like this on Windows 10. Was I Stupid for upgrading? I was even recording a browser based applet game I was playing on Saturday night. SO just google chrome and discord open and recording and had the same crash up to 4 times in about 4 hours.
Could be related to me using virtual audio cables but, unrelated to the crashes I get mad audio like stutter/crackle thing that happens sometimes upon switching scene or windows on my PC, and it persists until I go to services.msc and restart the Windows Audio service. It's become a nightmare on Win 11 at the moment.
The more annoying thing is that OBS doesn't even seem to count all these as crashes as it just goes to "Not responding" and I end task in OBS. So I am not sure if my crash log will really be able to be analysed to find the issue. I am very close to downgrading back to a fresh Windows 10, but surely it's not impossible to sort on WIn 11? If anyone could shed some light I'd be very grateful.
I attached my most recent crash log, even though I've had them for the past 3 days too. Attached my most recent OBS log in general.
