Bug Report obs crashes when trying to setup image slide show

so exactly as the title says whenever i try to setup an image slide show it crashes after i hit ok. let me go a little bit more in depth so i click on add source then click image slide show and it brings up the config screen for what folders you want so i click the folder i setup with the images for my stream and click ok and it crashes i should also note that most of the images are gifs, im not sure if by adding the images one by one would also make it crash as i have not tried it yet ive included the crash log aswell as the latest log file

Gpu-Asus Strix gtx 1070 Running on Driver 382.33
Cpu-I7 6700k @ 4.0 Ghz
Ram-16gb g.skill ddr4 2400mhz
Mobo-Asus Z170-A
OS-Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Version 1607 Build 14393.1358

Videos should be added using media source or VLC through a playlist. Using GIFs for videos will consume all your RAM and crash OBS, as you have observed.

so i tried doing what you said but unfortunately vlc doesnt play gifs properly, it just acts like the gifs are still imgs. any way you guys can add support for this, or support for mpc-hc?
