Question / Help OBS crashes when trying to record with Quicksync

Hi there,

I am running into an issue where OBS crashes when trying to record with the QuickSync encoder. I have attached the log and crash report. This is weird to me because QuickSync was working for me fine last week. This issue started when I updated to the latest Intel Video Drivers. On a side note, I am unable to open the new Windows Store Intel Control Panel for some reason, and I cannot find the old graphics control panel. The QuickSync issue also doesn't seem to be isolated to OBS, which baffles me a bit.

Specs:
i5-6600 with Intel HD 530 running latest WQHL drivers
GTX 960
16GB RAM
Recording to a Hard Drive, running latest OBS 22

@DEDRICK knows more. In general, you need to downgrade your Intel's video driver.

Yup, drivers prior to Nov 2018 until Intel can fix the issue, QuickSync causes crashes in all apps that try to use QSV
