OBS Crashes Upon Starting a Stream (Message: Auto-start is disabled for this event...)

Hi there,

So I have been an avid OBS user for many years at this point, I recently started streaming with my normal stream setup and the stream was barely sending any data (usually 7k kbps but was at 200 kbps). After trying to restart OBS and trying to stream again, the same problem occurred, then it would freeze and crash. This message would appear: "Manual start required - Autostart is disabled for this event, click Go Live to start your broadcast". The problem was that I couldn't interact with OBS as it would freeze and then crash.

My next thought was to export all my scenes and simply uninstall and delete all OBS files from my system, then reinstall. Then uninstall all the plugins I was using. After reinstalling OBS I imported my scenes and tried a test stream, it would start sending a good amount of data 7k kbps as I set it up to do again but then it would freeze giving me the same pop up and then crash again before I could even interact with OBS.

Any ideas?

Auto-start is located in the YouTube Live Studio.

Auto-Start automatically starts a stream when YouTube starts receiving data.

Questions
- What GPU and CPU are you using? You can find these by going Win + S and typing Device Manager then looking in Processors and Display Adaptors
- What is your current bitrate output? You can find this by going OBS > Settings > Output > Video Bitrate.

Hi, thanks for responding.
Auto-start and Auto-stop are both turned on as per usual. I don't think I have ever even touched Auto-start on YT but I have on occasion turned off Auto-stop if my internet was being wonky.

My computer specs are:
i5 9600f (CPU)
RTX 2070 Super (GPU)

My custom settings OBS that I have been using for about 1-2 years now are the following:
Base Canvas Resolution: 1920x1080
Output Resolution: 1920x1080
Downscale Filer: None
Common FPS Values: 60

Encoder: NVENC H.264
Rate Control: CBR
Bitrate: 7000 kbps
KFI: 2s
Preset: P6 (Slower)
Tuning: HQ
Multipass Mode: Single
Profile: High
Look Ahead: Off
PVT: On
GPUs: 0
Max B-frames: 2

Extra Note: I was using a multi stream plugin (RTMP from Sora) to multistream to Twitch, that is why my bitrate isn't 10k+ as it would hit my system pretty hard! Since my reinstall of OBS that plugin isn't in OBS anymore so I don't believe that is the issue. Also, I have tried to stream in Safe Mode (that says it removes all plugins etc.) and the same issue occurs!

i5-9600f is a 9th Gen i5, I have tried running on a 8th Gen i5 (Intel i5-8250U) it loads a bit on CPU.

- What is the CPU percentage when your recording/streaming?

Usually located in the bottom right of OBS.

- Is it possible for you to provide a log file of the crash? (If you currently don't have one then replicate the crash by doing what you did before).

Wait! It just randomly started working again, I didn't change anything... It kept on crashing every time I tried to stream and now it is just fine! ... I have no idea what happened because I didn't change any settings or anything?
Thanks for your help, I guess I will come back if the issue starts occurring again?
