Bug Report OBS crashes Dark Souls 1 (DX9) when the game is alt-tabbed from fullscreen in Win10 1903

If I run Dark Souls 1 (DX9) in fullscreen and use game capture the game will crash if I alt tab the game at any point Win10 1903. If I delay the capture by having another scene selected (or launching OBS after the game is running) I can alt-tab normally but if I play for 30-40 minutes and then alt-tab the crash will occur again.

This doesn't happen in Windows 7 so I'm guessing it's related to the way fullscreen and dx9 games are handled in Win10. I don't remember this being an issue on Win10 1809 either but I haven't used Windows 10 in months so I can't be sure.

The problem doesn't happen when OBS is not running/hooking the process.

Tried compatibility with Win7 and disabling fullscreen optimizations. Tried with the game/screen set at 60Hz and 144Hz (always 1080p resolution). Tried enabling/disabling anticheat compatibility hook and third party overlay capture, as well as Hook Rate; nothing seems to change the crash.

P.S.: Forgot to specify that it crashes when I tab back into the game not when I alt tab to desktop, also even when it doesn't crash (with the delayed hooking) it takes slightly longer than normal to get image back, also sometimes I can hear the game actually running for a few seconds before the crash).

I haven't installed Afterburner/Rivaturner yet and disabled Discord/Game Bar/Steam overlay. I think the only overlay enabled is the AMD one (since it can't be disabled) but it's not on the list.

So none from that list.

P.S.: Went to test AMD overlay doesn't pop in game, so not even that one is running.

Also forgot to specify that it crashes when I tab back into the game not when I alt tab to desktop, also even when it doesn't crash (with the delayed hooking) it takes slightly longer than normal to get image back, also sometimes I can hear the game actually running for a few seconds before the crash). Edited the main post with this as well.

A bit more info:

- Switching desktop to 60 fps (in case the refresh rate switch mattered) doesn't change anything.
- Fully disabling AMD overlay and game recording (Relive) by preventing the processes form running doesn't change anything.
- Forcing Vsync on/off doesn't change anything.
- Doesn't seem exclusive to AMD GPUs since the SGDQ run of DS1 ran into the same issues and had to switch to windowed mode (they had a 2080Ti on their setup) according to the person that ran the game.

I found another person that runs fullscreen and game capture on Win10 1903 that doesn't have any issues so I'll see if I can find any differences on his setup.
