Question / Help OBS crashes at scene switching

When I open OBS and tried to switch scenes, OBS often crashes, though it depends on what scene I switch to.

If I just go to the scene above on the list, and progressively go up until I get to the top scene, it's fine, but if I switch from the last scene to the top one, it crashes. It's kind of annoying as it means I can't switch scenes or use my Streamdeck.

I would try exporting your scenes and profiles, deleting ~/Library/Application Support/obs-studio, then importing them individually to see if you can find out if one in particular is the cause.

I've tried them all in different orders, but it just seems like the order in which I switch scenes causes the crash.

I think it's possible for one or more corrupted scenes to cause an inconsistent crash or a crash that is repeatable and attached by switching scenes in a particular order-- that one in particular happened to me.

I addressed it by creating a fresh scene collection and individually importing or recreating scenes to isolate which ones were related to the crash-- importing the safe ones, and recreating the ones implicated.
