Hi Guys
have a Macbook Pro 2018 with 10.15.4, OBS, OBS Link, NDI and Skype

My problem is that when I open the settings under Add Source "NDI Source" and then save "Okay" click OBS abbreviates completely. Unfortunately I have no idea why! The source is there after starting OBS but unfortunately without settings that I have not set. Black screen for the Capture HD60 and Skype. Help.....

Does that help you further?

I have this issue as well on my MacBook Pro. Adding NDI source (Elgato HD60 S) crashes OBS every time. Elgator works perfectly with it's game capture software. I am on 2018 model, with Catalina installed

I HAD THIS PROBLEM and solved it on all three of my Macs yesterday — two newer MBPs running Catalina and the latest OBS (24.0.6), and an older iMac (2011) running High Sierra and OBS 24.0.6. Apparently the latest NDI plug-in (4.7.1) uses a Runtime that causes problems (from memory, think I read the newer 4.5 instead of 4.0+ is the problem). I found an NDI plug-in on this forum that solved the problem, but this morning I see the WeTransfer link is no longer active (full URL: https://wetransfer.com/downloads/ffe5253d1fc36c782e45cf1b3a8ef33a20200327231347/16df0c).

But I still have the .pkg file and have uploaded it to my Dropbox here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cj5jmxgp4pb18g3/libNDI_for_Mac.pkg?dl=0

Hope this helps.

I'm having this issue and I found your post! I downloaded and installed the .pkg file but it is still crashing. Is there any steps I'm missing? I tried closing OBS Link and restarting. Is there a need to, or a way to uninstall the other .pkg?

Try quitting OBS first, then downloaded the .pkg file (dropbox link above), install it, and then re-open OBS. For me, after those steps, NDI was back to working normally. Didn't even have to re-boot the machine. Didn't have to delete the previous NDI plug-in (wouldn't know how to do that). And per my OP, it fixed NDI on three Macs — a 2011 iMac running High Sierra, and two more recent iMacs running Catalina.

Thanks for the suggestion. It does not work for me, crashes every time sadly. Posted a dozen crash reports to Apple.

Wirecast also has an NDI output option. Tried this and get the same result, crashes every time.
