Bug Report OBS conflict with Mojave 10.14.6

I have just installed OBS. It records perfectly however is causing massive glitches with my system (macbook pro, Mojave 10.14.6). As soon as I open a browser window and start playing a video, it takes over and keeps flashing the browser window, flicking rapidly to the point where I have no control over it and have to force quit. If my password protected screen saver goes on, it takes over the input text box with a non stop stream of characters. I have to reboot the system. If I use control+tilda to flick between programs, again it takes over and won't stop.
These are just the things i've discovered in the last hour/

@MicheleB - Have you tried launching OBS from the 'Terminal' app on your mac, as opposed to just clicking on the app icon? If not, give it a try by following these steps and let me know if you run into similar issues while trying to accomplish the same tasks.

1) Open Terminal application on your Mac
2) Copy and paste the below into your terminal:
Bash:
/Applications/OBS.app/Contents/MacOS/OBS; exit

3) Hit Enter
4) Leave Terminal running while using OBS

I've found launching OBS from terminal can be helpful in alleviating various issues on Macs. Let me know if this works and feel free to post the log file or explain in more detail what happened if it doesn't.

Hope that's helpful!

To the best of my knowledge OBS is not capable of doing as you describe. I'm not aware of any features of OBS that produce keystrokes.

Well, that seems to have almost worked perfectly. No glitching, but for some reason, it won't now see my built in camera.

Hey @MicheleB - Try this and let me know how it goes:

Step 1 - Have you tried using FaceTime on your mac to confirm that your built-in camera is working properly? That's the first thing you'll want to confirm.

Step 2 (and likely the issue) - Open up the application on your Mac titled System Preferences --->Click Security & Privacy ----> Click Privacy. Then in the left hand column, click on "Accessibility". Click the lock in the bottom left corner of the window so you can make change. Press the "+" icon and add OBS (and make sure it's selected). Now, go back to the left hand column and click on "Camera". Make sure there is a checkbox next to OBS and that it is checked. Close System Preferences. (see screenshots below)

Step 3 - Restart computer, and launching OBS from terminal again. If you're still not able to see your built-in camera, please reply with some screenshots of what you're seeing when you try to add the camera.

Hope this works. Let us know!
