Question / Help OBS Client laggy

I've been using Streamlabs OBS for quite some time but I just recently switched back to OBS Studio because of a plug-in that I couldn't get to work in Streamlabs OBS. Everything seemed fine, but then when I tried to watch a YouTube video while changing some stuff around in OBS I realized that everything in OBS was lagging. When I hovered above certain scenes or tried to click something in the projector it always took a while to register. The same thing happens when I have the DeSmuME emulator in fullscreen. While running DeSmuME however, as long as OBS isn't the focused application it doesn't lag. I've never had this problem in Streamlabs OBS and never had it before using Streamlabs OBS. I'm guessing it happened because of an update from OBS but I'm not sure.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update: I got the bug to be fixed. Pretty stupid, but I was running OBS Studio in administrator and that's what caused it to lag. Now I'm running it normally and don't have the lags anymore
