OBS + Cheap webcam = sometimes too bright, sometimes too dark

Hi all,
I have noticed that with my (cheap) webcam that the video will display in OBS sometimes as too bright (overblown) and sometimes so dark you can only see lightbulbs. The difference is simply shutting down OBS and restarting it. More specifically, every second time the camera is activated, the picture is way too dark.

The camera never has a problem when being used 'directly' by software like Zoom or web browser. It seems like OBS might be hooking a different driver for the webcam.

Anyone have any ideas for a solution? If not, is there any information I could supply which might help to pin down this problem?

SOLVED! I used the Discord Bot Log Analyzer and it identified that my Color Range was the problem. Changing it from Full to Limited fixed the issue.
It's important to note that the instructions told me to adjust "YUV Color Range", which does not exist in 31.0.3; the parameter is simply called "Color Range".
