hi everyone I have recently as of today started having trouble with OBS studio, whenever I play a game and open it up OBS causes my game to lag. this was not like it a few weeks ago, nothing is wrong with my hardware as it is all new and custom built by a professional. here is my log file, I would appreciate any help
My pc specs are as follows
CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X ; GPU: EVGA 3080 TI ULTRA FTW3 12GB ; RAM: 32GB G.SKILL TRIDENT ; MOTHERBOARD: Asus Rog Strix x570-e Gaming ;

cheers and I look forward to getting a reply back so this issue can be resolved and I can get back to streaming.

Ugh - streamelements. PoS software if there ever was
Unfortunately, my understanding is that StreamElements replaces core pieces of OBS Studio, meaning troubleshooting/isolation requires uninstalling StreamElements, and re-installing OBS Studio fresh/clean. I'm glad I never installed that plug-in (based on all the issues caused by that PoS reported in this forum... yea, i really an NOT a fan)... ymmv
I'm sure there are more direct troubleshooting methods, but not something I'd know about
I'd say check your own OBS log, but as you can see that PoS plugin pukes all over the log. making finding your config errors (if any) hard to spot

then again
- recording to MP4 against the big red warning?
- and clearly some device issues
- and CPU encoding when you have NVENC?
good luck

I removed stream elements and freshly installed OBS Studios, Im still getting the same problem, in settings i made sure to change stuff to the new encoder (NVIDIA NVENC h.264 new)

Please run the Auto-configuration Wizard and apply the recommended settings. Keep it in simple output mode. Now test again.
Make sure the nvidia driver is updated. You can try doing a clean s¡install of the video driver too:

If nothing of this helps, could be a third party software causing the issue:

When recording use mkv as container. You can remux the file later into mp4.

Also do not overclock.
