Question / Help OBS causing FPS drop to my game when combined with AA when open.

It's been an ongoing issue that I have been trying to deal with but have come up empty.

The game is PSOBB which I play on a private server; it's an old game so I like to use Nvidia Inspector to increase AA (specifically MSAA+SGSSAA) to smooth it out. The game can run perfectly 30fps the whole time (yes 30 since it is an old game after all) while using 8x MSAA + SGSAA no issue. However, when I bring OBS up the game instantly drops to 13-15 fps (just being open, not even recording + I do not stream because my internet is not amazing). If I turn AA off OBS causes no slowdown whatsoever or if I have OBS closed with high AA it causes no slowdown. Only when a tiny amount of AA in on + OBS are open. Trying to work out why this is doing this because my PC is more than capable enough to handle these together.

I will look into different software if I have to (like Shadowplay) but I don't understand why I should have to. I enjoy OBS and all its many functionalities. What can I do to resolve this?

The log file is missing any recording attempt.
How high is the maximum GPU load (can be checked with GPU-Z, as the Taskmanger is showing wrong values) while running the Game?

That is because I am not recording when I have this issue. It is simply when OBS is open. Recording or not.

GPU-Z says the max GPU load during the game being on +OBS is 12%

Recently moved to AMD GPU and starting using ReLive instead of Shadowplay (which I was using instead of OBS because of this)

but have been having some issues so tried out OBS again and whatever the issue here was has resolved itself somehow. No idea what happened but it is fixed thank god, now I can use OBS again. My friend also had the same issue with the same result haha
