OBS causing extreme lag in ProPresenter 7

Just this week we encountered a 7-10 second delay when attempting to move from one slide to another in Pro 7. When I closed OBS the lag completely disappears. The delay makes it impossible to run Pro 7 and OBS simultaneously so we have to decide between livestream or slides for in house use. Any ideas on how to resolve the issue?
 
Don't ignore the pinned post in this forum about posting your OBS Studio log when asking for support/help (link in my .sig)

Check system monitor... if computer overloaded, something has to give. Up to you to manage system resources
- now that could be a settings change in OBS Studio, or Operating System level, or turning off background apps/processes... it depends
