Question / Help OBS Causing blue-screen crashes and stuttering with Elgato Capture card.

As the title suggests, I'm having two issues with OBS studio:
First, and most importantly, OBS Studio is crashing my computer nigh every time I close it. It causes a blue screen error.
I've recently done updates (BIOS update, Win 7 update, graphics card update), so I assume one of those is likely the cause, but unless it's the video card (Nvidia) update, I would rather not try and roll it back (especially the BIOS update).
Not sure what is causing it, but I can't stream or anything until it is fixed.

Problem 2:
This is the problem that led to me doing all of these updates: I recently got a Nintendo Switch and Elgato HD Capture card. In OBS, the capture from the Switch/Elgato stutters and lags (the delay is normal, but the freezing and stuttering is not). I have been in contact with Elgato's support team and have received feedback on things that could be the cause (one of which was to update my system, and thus Problem 1 was caused).
If anyone knows what is causing these stutters and how to fix them, please tell me (same with the first problem which is probably more important to fix at this very moment).

Below is the link to the OBS Studio Log file:

(For this log, I don't believe that I had the Elgato hooked up at the time as I thought it was what was causing the crash, but the crash happens even when the Elgato is not hooked up).

OBS cannot cause a bluescreen. Try a tool like BlueSreenView to determine the actual cause.

Well, the fact that every time I close OBS a blue screen occurs tends to mean that OBS is somehow related, whether it directly causes it or is the catalyst that sets off some other cause, I'm not sure, but it somehow factors in this.

I ran BlueScreenView as you suggested and this is what I got for the latest crash.
I'm not entirely sure what to make of these results.

No, it doesn't. OBS just uses system functions that most applications will never touch, but that does not mean that OBS itself is causing the bluescreen.

From those results, it looks like you have some kind of failing hardware. That particular crash is most commonly caused by bad memory, or bad GPU drivers. Try DDU first: http://obsproject.com/forum/resources/performing-a-clean-gpu-driver-installation.65/

Ok, I did what you said and that didn't solve the issue; however, you were right that the issue related to Nvidia. Apparently, the most recent update made it so that running OBS with the Nvidia "High Performance" Graphics processor causes everything to go straight to hell. I turned it back to the integrated graphics processor (my Intel one), and OBS boots and closes fine.
That being said, is there a downside to this? When trying to fix the Elgato stuttering issue, I was told to run OBS using Nvidia's processor, granted, that didn't solve anything, but will running OBS with the integrated graphics cause any sort of issues?

Actually, forget about that last post, it still crashes. Even went back to an old driver that I knew worked and it still crashes. No idea what is causing this, but I could really use some help figuring it out as all I seem to be doing is crashing my computer.

Unfortunately, you will need to contact someone locally who can help with the blue screen issues. There are too many factors at play for us to be able to provide any kind of real support on that, as it is not an OBS issue at this point.
