I'm posting this here so I can get pointed in the right direction to get some more information and how to provide you guys with more information about my problem.
I recorded a video (and have recorded a bunch of subsequent test videos at very very short length) using these settings (let me know if you need more info on my capture settings:
Output Mode: Advanced
Type: Standard
Recording Format: mp4
Audio Track: 1
Encoder: NVENC H.264
Rate Control: CBR
Bitrate: 17000
Preset: Low-Latency High Performance
2 Pass Encoding
B-Frames: 2
Most of those settings are the defaults. The result is a pretty decent capture.
Then I've imported the mp4 into Adobe Premiere. Then when I drag the mp4 to the Premiere timeline, Premiere crashes. Doesn't matter if it is a 45 minute video or a 10 second video. I've also tried recording using mkv and then remuxing in OBS to mp4. Still crashes Premiere. However, if I import a downloaded youtube video into Premiere onto the timeline, NO problem.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong? What more information do you need? I used OBS 19.0.0 to record the vid and the latest version of Adobe Premiere. In fact, I also had no luck importing the video into Sony Vegas, either.
