OBS can't capture videos or webcams from Discord

I'm having trouble getting OBS Studio and Discord getting along...

I recently got a new laptop, (ASUS ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED i7 RTX 3070 Windows 11).

I've used OBS to record my D&D sessions for 4 years now, but this is the first time I'm having this problem. Typically, I have one window capture source in OBS with Discord (where I record everyone's webcams), and another source that is a web page with an online map for that session. The problem with my new laptop is that when I tell OBS to record the Discord window source, and I leave that window to check something in another window (like a Google doc or stats of a monster), then any webcam (or video) in the Discord window will go gray in the OBS recording.

I've tried reinstalling OBS with no luck. I've also checked the settings in Discord, and everything seems to be alright there (such as enabling overlay and such).

Any suggestions what could be causing this or where to look?

i dont use webcam on obs, only DS

If you're window capturing discord make sure of the following:
1> it's the app and not a browser version
2> you're using the windows 10 capture method on the window capture source
3> you're not minimizing the discord window
