Hey guys!
I've been trying to use the NVENC for recording/streaming so I can minimize the impact on my computer, however OBS can not use NVENC.
I've been altering the settings a bit and with two-pass-encoding enabled and a GPU-value of 0 it works yet the quality is about the same as with the other encoders.
I assumed that the "GPU"-value changes the amount of encoding that is done by the GPU, so I turned it up to 1.
It did not work, I get an error message.
The log says "no NVENC capable device found", yet I am using a Nvidia Geforce 650 ti Boost which is very well NVENC capable.
When using encoders like .264 and the quicksync i get quite bad quality on 720p, the image is blurred and since my CPU is far from top-notch they are not much of an option anyways, are they?
I tried using Shadowplay and that resulted in very high-quality recordings with 720p @ 30 FPS without any FPS drops (because it is using the hardware-based encoding so I do not lose any performance, right?)
Additional Info:
I am using two monitors, main monitor run by the 650 ti boost, 2nd monitor run by internal GPU (I run OBS on that monitor)
