OBS black screen

Currently trying to set up OBS to replace Streamlabs due to the high CPU useage caused by Streamlabs software. The purpose is to use OBS for streaming of the windows display. As of right now, no captures are functioning properly. I have noticed in the logs this message being repeated as if it is attempting this command but for some reason not able to (and in red):

CreateForMonitor

I have attempted the following fixes, but to no avail:
  • The good ol' uninstall and reinstall
  • Changing the OBS graphics setting to high performance
  • Changing the OBS graphics setting to power saving
  • Turning off hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling
