Question / Help Obs auto settings

I am currently using the automatic preset in obs but a 2 minute video is giving me a 500mb file , i would like to decrease that if possible.
My problem is , i am also using the replay buffer to kind of make it like shadowplay as i do not need it to be recording the whole game , only highlights.
Is there anyway i can get lower file sizes but keep the replay buffer ability ?

I think the preset is called "high quality,medium file size"

Recompress the output afterwards with Handbrake, you'll have much more flexibility to hit a target file size or bitrate since the encoding doesn't have to be done in real time.
