Question / Help OBS Auto Configuration not detecting the exact available internet speed and suggesting much lower bitrates

Hi,

I am trying to connect my camera from a capture card using OBS as an encoding software, When I connect to a macbook air, the bitrates suggested after auto config bandwidth is much lower than when I connect to a windows machine. The internet speed was same both times and upto 400Mb/s upload speed.

Any leads here would be very helpful.

The speeds auto-configuration detects are the actual speed result it receives by making a connection to Twitch ingest servers. Usual speed test results (like speedtest.net) aren't always relevant.

However, it is also true that Twitch has had significant technical issues this week. I would try various different ingest servers and see what kind of performance you get.
