Question / Help OBS audio recording stutters in DOOM 2016

Hello, I've found a very perplexing problem that I've been unable to solve on my own.

I'm trying to stream DOOM 2016 on my system that probably can barely run the game and stream it at the same time, (Intel i5 3570 and a 750 ti), and the audio of the game recorded has a lot of stuttering and crackling. While I do get a tiny bit of this stutter and crackle while playing as well, it is nowhere near the amount that occurs in the recording. I am running DOOM 2016 in wine staging 2.21 via Lutris.

I have tried several things to remedy this. First I assumed the PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC env variable might have something to do with it, lowering it had no effect on recordings however. I tried using alsa instead of pulse but had the same issue as well. Lowering my stream settings, from the 720p30 I was using all the way down to 480p30 on both NVENC and x264 made no difference. Google searches reveal the game has issues with USB DACs which I do use but switching the game to the built in sound card made no difference. Editing default-fragment-size-msec = 5 into /etc/pulse/daemon.conf as suggested by some searches on audio stuttering in wine also did not seem to help recordings. Aside from this game I have not had any issues recording audio in OBS. There is maybe a chance it is purely due to my system not being powerful enough but the fact that the audio going to my speakers/headphones is clearer than that OBS records doesn't make sense.

Link to example vod (mind the lazily kept in facecam) Settings are x264 on superfast, 30 fps 2200 bitrate:
