I'm setting up OBS Studio on a new machine and am experiencing something new:
- The audio level captured from my soundcard will adjust up and down based on my windows sound level. IE. If I can hear the game/music very softly, OBS will pick it up very low. Once I raise the output to my headphones, the levels increase in OBS accordingly.
Ideally I would want to be able to adjust them independently. I thought OBS would capture sound directly as it is being output, not based on headphone volume. This is how it is set up on my primary streaming rig.
The setup in question is an MSI laptop running Nahimic 2, and I'm sure this may have something to do with it. When I plug in my headphones it prompts me to choose either HiFi Headphone or Speaker out. Both seem to have the same effect.
Please help me, forum Gods!
