Question / Help OBS Audio (Desktop Audio)

Mythics

Hello!

I'm new to OBS and looking to understand more of how it works. I'm currently a bit confused on how I could control the audio for different sources on my windows machine.

I'm using a video capture device to stream games from a console system and that has it's own audio device, so it has it's own audio slider (under Mixer in the interface). My mic/aux has it's own as well. So does the very general "Desktop Audio" which includes every single thing my windows machine does it would seem, from Browser Sources to basic Windows sounds.

I'd like to be able to specify audio controls for individual things on my desktop. Is that possible? Like, mute all Desktop Audio, but still have a Browser Source play it's audio?

It seems audio is manipulated by device only rather than by source, is that correct? If so, is there any way to get so specific as to allow sound through (at varying audio levels) for specific sources/windows?

Thanks for any help!
