Hi I am using OBS with O365 Yammer Live event.
After setting up the Live Event in O365 Teams soft, I have the option to configure the stream using OBS, so I copy the URL into OBS streaming setting and I get an error cannot connect to server???

I had our F/W team trace to find the issue and it's failing to connect to destination IP = 149.56.72.190 on HTTPS:\\obsproject.com , so our networks team are asking why do I need to connect to destination IP = 149.56.72.190 on HTTPS:\\obsproject.com via the OBS client?

Is this a requirement? Is there a setting in the OBS client I need to switch off to get around the above?

Thanks
Jason

... you can't stream to the OBSProject website. I have no idea what Yammer is, but that URL they are giving you is not meant to be put into OBS as an HTTPS URL.

The configuration instructions for using OBS with Yammer Live are here:

https://techcommunity.microsoft.com...to-produce-a-live-event-in-Yammer/ta-p/305592

It's an RTMP URL:

4. In the URL input box, paste the Server Ingest URL you copied from Teams.

I think you grabbed the wrong URL.

Hi Maybe I did not explain myself correctly:

I setup live event in teams using external app or device, once the meeting is created, I then clicked on join, which takes you to the setup section, click on setup and it configures the live event meeting.
The RTMP url is displayed to the right of the screen , I then copy these url, go to OBS setting, select the stream tab, select custom and enter in the RTMP url, click on apply, start the event and then click in OBS to start the stream, when I click on stream it starts to think and then fails , it fails to connect to server.......so then I ask my f/w team to do a trace to see where its failing etc..... they can is an access deny to the following destination IP = 149.56.72.190 and URLobsproject.com in their trace ....so the question is why do I need to connect to this IP and URL????
When the f/w team allow access to this IP and URL, I follow the same setup process, click start live event, click in OBS start stream and I am able to connect and stream and no server connection failure or errors.
When it fails it seems that the OBS client wants me to first make a connection to this IP and URL for some odd reason...on failure and when I check the OBS log, I can see its making connection to MS stream and the f/w team can see that too, but they have to allow this first which we don't understand why and hence this message in the forum .... is there is something in client that is forcing me to first try and connect to the IP and URL , its like its looking or checking for a client update.... I hope this makes more sense - thanks
