Ok...I am going to do my absolute best to describe my situation and what I am trying to accomplish. Hopefully someone else out there has had this happen to them and found a fix for it. It's kind of quirky (at least for me it is), and I have tried looking up solutions online, but nothing to avail. Without further adieu...here goes!
So, I am a content creator on Youtube (Graveyard Gameyard), and I stream board gameplays (Final Girl, etc...) and I decided to integrate the feature displaying an app on my tablet into OBS so I can show the app on screen during my show for certain features pertaining to said game. I plug my tablet in with a USB C male to USB female and the female is plugged into a USB C male to HDMI Female. The HDMI has HDMI male into my Elgato 4k capture card in my PC.
Now, I am able to successfully get the tablet to show on my OBS screen. That is great. connection successful. Then I got the thinking of another board game I could record videos for, and that is Tainted Grail. Tainted Grail has a companion app where you can use that instead of using the physical book to progress in the adventure of game play. I created a new Scene Collection for said game, set up the app in it and got it to run. It worked great! I was happy! I got the app to display properly and the background music for the app is able to play in OBS. ALMOST THERE I said, then when I went to test a location in the app, I pull up a location and then the issue happened. For some reason the narration in the app doesn't work when everything is plugged in. While I can get the background music no problem for the app, the voiceover narrations do not work! I unplug the tablet from the wires, close, re-open the app, voiceover narration works fine! I plug the tablet back into the wire, relaunch the app, video, background music continue to work...but the voice over still does not. I looked up many different options on trying to fix this, but nothing seems to work. Does anyone out there have any other possible suggestions as to what I may be able to do to get the narrations to successfully work? One would think 'hdmi, music is going through, why wouldn't this other set of sounds?' I was thinking the audio is in another channel on the tablet, but I am not seeing that anywhere. Any advice or help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
