OBS 31.0.0 Immense Lag and Game Capture Hook Failing

With the newest OBS update, OBS causes immense lag whenever I load into a game of League of Legends due to the Game Capture hook failing to capture the foreground game. Removing the Game Capture scene no longer causes lag as expected. However, I no longer have a video output of the Game Capture. Readding the Game Capture scene reintroduces the lag even after successfully capturing the game but later on failing to hook again? This issue still occurs when running the program in Administrator mode and this issue did not occur in the last version. Even reverting back to the previous stable version does not show this issue. I tried following the recommendations from the analyzed log file and the issue persists.

Hi there. I have the same issue. Updated my obs today and I cannot stream anymore. I’ve tried to download and use the v30 versions but those failed to capture league of legends/teamfight tactics. Everything else seems fine though.

Is there anything else I can do to fix this issue? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to stick to the previous stable version of OBS since that is what's working best for me.

Interesting thing is, i always backup my obs. I backed up before i update v31 but when I back to v30.2.3, still the same problem i'm getting..

Yes because even though you have downgraded OBS the game capture hook is still updated. I would really recommend just using a window capture source, very easy to do and solves your issue with nearly no effort.

for me it doesn't work for any version. i tried several including 28. clearing the hooks doesn't help too.

I tried windows capture source and EXTREMELY lag LoL
