Hello, first time posting on the forum so please let me know if there's anything else I can provide.
I noticed today that my video capture card is intermittently blurry in OBS (made a short clip of it above). I connected the HD 60 X to my Windows 11 PC and confirmed the firmware/settings are up to date/set to the recommended settings per Elgato. The blurry issue does not seem to occur on Windows 11.
Update: Just created a new test user account with admin privileges and the issue isn't happening. Going to let it run for 15-30mins to be sure, but if that fixes it, then I think I have an idea of how to fix it permanently.
Troubleshooting performed:
- Closed/re-open OBS and tried restarting Mac
= issue persists
- Checked for software/hardware updates on computer and associated devices
= issue persists
- Tried new profile and new scene collection in OBS
= issue persists
- Changed HDMI cables, HDMI source, and USB cable for capture card
= issue persists. Problem occurs while capturing both Nintendo Switch and Windows 11 Gaming PC (with and without HDMI splitter in the setup)
- Connected Elgato HD 60 X to Windows 11 and ran Elgato software to verify recommended settings and ensure firmware is up to date
= issue persists after verifying/resetting device to defaults and updating settings from scratch
Setup:
OBS 30.0.0 (64 bit)
MacBook Pro 14-inch 2023
CPU: Apple M2 Max (12 Core - 8 performance and 4 efficiency)
RAM: 32 GB LPDDR5
macOS: Sonoma 14.1.1
Capture Card: Elgato HD60 X (connected via USB 3.1 USB c cable)
