I am running a PC on Windows 11 23H2 however I get this message? I have tried:
Disabling antivirus
Redownloading installer
Running Installer in compatability for Windows 8
None of which have worked thus far. What should I do now?
(There was no OBS folder in my C: or D: drive so I have no log I can share currently)

Probably the Windows version you have installed lacks features needed for OBS to work. Consider using the Home or Pro versions.
As of OBS 28 it only works on Windows 10 and up.

Apparently according to this site Windows 11 IOT should have all the features of Windows 11 Home. What features does OBS need (as I can probably install those features OBS needs manually)?

Try compatibility mode

Or use OBS in Portable Mode

I made an account to reply because I was having the same issue.
I have windows 10 pro and have used OBS on this exact computer last year. I do not have antivirus.
Suddenly not compatible? Odd.
I was on Edge when I downloaded it so I tried downloading it from chrome. Right away the icon showed up and I was able to install it perfectly fine. I don't know what Edge did to the installer but if that's what you're using it probably did some shit.

in case anyone else has this issue, good luck
