OBS 27.0 no NDI source option

I am trying to add an NDI source. I create a scene, then go to sources to add an NDI source, and when I click the plus button, I do not have the option for NDI sources.

Do I have to install an add-on? Thanks, James

What NDI source are you trying to add? If you have NDI streams on your network from other devices then they will show up in OBS. If your computer isn't on the same network at those NDI streams they won't show up. Make sure your OBS computer is plugged into the same network that your NDI streams are plugged into.

My computer is on the same network. I have NDI studio monitor and I can see the NDI I am trying to add. What is strange is in OBS Studio, when I add a new scene, hit the plus button there is no "NDI sources" button, no way to choose NDI sources.

Hi,
I'm opening back this discussion thread because I'm facing the same problem even though I already installed both, the obs-ndi plugin and the NDI Runtime.

To be more precise,
When I've installed those softwares and plugins the first time, it worked. (I had to reinstall to update to the latest versions of each piece of software)
Then, like 5 days later, I wanted to use it and set up my 2nd pc broadcasting its screen through the network using the NDI Screen Capture HX.
Then, opened my OBS from my "current" pc that is going to "receive" the broadcasting from devices on my network.
I added the NDI Source. Then I went to its config to add the specific source, the 2nd pc. But it won't show any item from the list.
It is only capable to show a source when the "current" pc starts broadcasting and that is able to be added (but I don't need this). None of the device from the same network (even though the broadcasting from my phone using the paid NDI Capture HX android app)

The more curious thing is that when I do the reverse way (broadcast from my "current" to network, and try to "capture" it from my 2nd pc), it works. The second PC obs ndi source is able to list all of the devices from the network: "current" pc and my android app.

"Current" PC and 2nd PC versions (on both pc I've installed same versions of each software and plugins):
OBS: 29.1.3
OBS-NDI plugin: 4.11.1
NDI Runtime: 5.5.3
Windows: 11 updated as of today (2023-09-06)
