OBS 27.0.1 doesn't change the Controls until I mouse over them

I play a game called Elite Dangerous. I use a program called Voice Attack to Start Recording in-game. It's worked like a champ forever. Now when I say "Start Recording" and check the controls to see if it started it stills shows "Start Recording" If I mouse over the item it changes to "Stop Recording" II

Anyone seen this before?

I selected to upload the Log Files. Not sure if it worked.
