Hi
I tried the latest OBS a couple of times now..when 24 first dropped and now just tried the 24.0.3 update hoping it would have fixed the audio problems I had.
I run an relatively complex audio setup.
I have Voicemeeter (with VB Cable A, B, C, D) - and I also use Virtual Audio Cable (https://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.htm) to give me lots of audio devices so that I can control audio with more granularity.
Essentially, it goes like this
Output of Application Audio ----> VB-CABLE A(or B, C, D) ----> Through Voicemeeter ---> Output to Virtual Audio Cable Line Out.
I can then set up multiple audio capture devices in OBS and capture Music, VOIP, Game, Alerts etc all on separate tracks.
This has not been a problem till OBS 24. The first thing I noticed was that after 2-3 hours of recording or streaming, suddenly something in the audio would start going all crackly and distorted. If I disabled the relevant Virtual Audio Cable Line Out device and renabled in the Sound Control Panel, it would fix it, but then it might happen soon after on another of the VAC devices.
One would think this a VAC and/or Voicemeeter problem - but seeing as this never happens on OBS 23...I find that hard to believe.
I also noticed today when running 24.0.3 that there are a lot of blips and little crackles on the recording and streams. Enough to the point where as a viewer it would annoy the hell out of me. I haven't had chance to try 24 bypass all the Voicemeeter/VB-CABLE/Virtual Audio Cable devices...but still - for it to work on 23 and then on 24 it has problems - that's gotta be something that's changed in 24?
They have changed stuff in 24 relating to audio right? Like I know the way it handles browser source audio has changed? Has anything else in the audio system changed that could cause this?
Thanks
