Bug Report OBS 21.1.1-modified (mac) Glitching

Since this latest update when using Window Capture I'm getting random popups in-frame of the same window. The glitches last for an eyeblink. It's visible in the OBS console and on the YouTube stream. It happens when idle or streaming. It does not occur on my intro and end tiles. This never happened until this update. No settings have been changed. I tried reloading etc. to clear it but can't make it stop. I'll probably try to revert to the previous release.

I encountered the same issue. I found a little workaround if you work from a laptop or iMac like me. Try resize desktop to the native LCD screen resolution. It's an Apple GPU driver issue. Since my upgrade to MacOS 10.13.4 I've had the same issue.

Im on MacOS 10.13.4 and OBS 21.1.1. I tried resizing to native resolution and it had no effect for me. It's still glitching in window capture.

I have the same issue. OS X 10.13.5, OBS 21.1.1. I am set to native resolution. Window Capture glitches every couple of seconds, even in standby and is completely unusable on my MacBook.

Base Resolution 1280 x 720
Output resolution 464 x 260
Bicubic
30 fps.

Any suggestions?

I experience the glitch whenever in window capture mode. It glitches within a few seconds and continues every few seconds. The GPU shows high load and the computer fan comes on. I tried every .pkg installer for Mac from 22.0.0rc2 going back to version 19. In window capture mode I need to shut it down immediately upon completing a scene then relaunch when I am ready to record to let the fan die down otherwise the fan noise becomes too noticeable in the audio. The glitching was ultimately so bad I could no longer edit around it.

I tried every other workaround involving settings, but it only diminished the issue somewhat.

The workaround for me is to use Display capture mode instead. None of the problems. In fact once I forgot to close OBS and it didn't cause any noticeable load on the cpu.
