Question / Help OBS (19 and 18 and 17) doesn't start without any error message

Hi all!

My OBS for doesn't start. I even don't see it in the system tray. But, if I open the task manager - I can see the obs64.exe file.

It used to work for one or two days, but now - no activity. Clean install didn't help. Cleaning up (removing) directory from %APPDATA% didn't help too.

Any ideas?

Also, try to navigate log-file manually (Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...) and upload it here (the log-file from v19.0.1).

Is OBS open if you look in task manager? I have this problem all the time, where obs doesnt start but I see my webcam turn on and if I look, it's in task manager. Close it using task manager and re open, works great.

Also, start it as administrator. Works better that way.

Harold, we don't have any external antivirus, only Windows Defender.

I tried to add obs64.exe to the antiviruses exceptions and tried to add OBS directory to the exception list, but it didn't help.

Suslik V, there are no OBS directories in the AppData folder.

spikejr5342, yes, I can see it in the task manager. Killing and restarting doesn't help, unfortunately. Starting it as administrator doesn't help too.

the log stored under the config directory then (in the application's folder).
