Question / Help OBS 14.1 not displaying Google Play Music app as source

I use the small rectangular app by Google as a display source to show what music I'm playing, but this version isn't recognizing it. It keeps appearing as a black window no matter what I change in the display capture settings. What can I do to solve this?

Does anyone know what could be causing the problem for the Window Capture feature not working/displaying any windows I choose?

If you're trying to use window capture on something other than a UWP app and it doesn't work, please post a log file.

It seems to only work in 32-bit mode rather than 64-bit mode. I'm using a Dell Inspiron 7559 with both Intel HD 530 Graphics and the NVIDIA 960m card.

It appears the problem might be on Chrome's end, which is what I was trying to display in the first place, a browser window. When I turn off hardware acceleration in Chrome's settings the Window Capture feature works fine.

That's correct. Wish you would have stated up front that it was a Chrome window in particular failing to be window captured as this is a well-known issue with multiple related threads floating around the forum. ;)

My bad. I had been searching around, but not with the right terms I'm guessing. Thanks.

Did you find the fix? If not you need to disable Hardware Acceleration, Chrome, Settings, Show Advanced Settings, System. Uncheck Hardware Acceleration.
