Question / Help OBS 0.16.6 QSV stream stutter

Whenever I use the QSV encoder to offload streaming work to my iGPU, my live stream gets a periodic stutter.

I use the simple output mode preset. For comparison here is a test stream using the x264 encoder:

This is not the first time I have experienced this stutter. This has been around pretty much since the birth of QSV encoding in OBS. Is this a bug in OBS or is there something I can do to mitigate the stutter?

My firefox have a crushed black problem on both your videos, if using full range, try switching to limited range for live stream, as they may compress slightly better.

1920 x 1080 x 60fps at only 3500 Kbps? That creates some problem with video quality, especially QuickSync that just don't work right at low bitrate of this high of resolution and framerate. With Twitch limited 3500 Kbps bitrate, try reducing resolution to 1280x720, and/or reduce frame rate to 30 fps. Or, maybe switch to a different streaming provider like YouTube streaming to raise the bitrate a lot higher.

The resolution and frame rate and bit rate had nothing to do with it. The only setting I changed between the two videos was the encoder. When I was streaming my iGPU was at 60% utilization and even at lower resolution like I normally stream, the stutter persists at (I believe) the same interval. As for your firefox issue, I don't know what to tell you. I use firefox 50 and Twitch videos play fine for me. Perhaps switch from HTML5 player to Flash or vice versa? Thanks for your reply anyway. :)
