I've been trying to record lately for youtube and the video quality usually freezes and lags. The audio quality is good just not video. I've looked for so many different settings on google and all of them seem to fail. Also, it sometimes says encoding overload when I change some of the settings. If anyone could help me with my settings or any tips on this that would be great!

I'll be honest with you and say your settings look right but I have a feeling that your CPU is not really up to the task, it'll be interesting to see what other folks think.

I think, this estimation
Gives me a result:
  • Set base resolution to 480p (854 x 480) or a similar low resolution
  • Set FPS to 25
  • Consider using ultrafast / superfast x264 preset if you experience high CPU usage
and it very close to my thoughts. PC is weak for recording/streaming. Maybe, simple recording software can produce better result for you (OBS Studio is more complex solution).

Thanks Suslik! That helped exceptionally. Yes I know my pc isn't the best for recording I just want to make it manageable before I get a new one.
