Question / Help NVIDIA NVENC encoder (Media Foundation)

I was using NVIDIA NVENC encoder (Media Foundation) for local recording but had driver crashed. Now this selection is no longer there. Only the standard NVENC H.264 and x264 are available.

Any reason for this to happen

Thanks

The option is there until you switch options. After 0.14.0 released, NVEnc Media Foundation disappeared and was replaced with NVEnc H.264 which is the exact same thing.

Yeah, I lost mine as well, but kind of knew what happened. I think I got less game performance spikes (and better quality?) with near identical settings with the old one, but I'm still messing around and unsure.

I lost this option too! It happened after I installed the latest Nvidia driver on my 780 Ti.

But that's not all. Before this, I was able to preview and record Overwatch in smooth 1080p60. Now both the preview and recording stutter and lag a lot. If I click outside the game, the preview turns smooth again. Any advice?

Having stutter and lag ingame me too with a normal GTX 780 (latest driver), still no advice?

Ok I got luckly a workaround, I don't know why I tryed this but it worked. Basically I disabled shadow play from the NVidia GFE and restarted my pc, everything worked fine. Then to be sure I reenabled Shadow Play and the stutter/lag was there, but as soon as I disabled it was butter smooth (even at 120fps recording). If I remember right this is not the first time that happened to me... but at first I didn't remebered it. Let me know ifit works for you!
