Hello, my name is Leo, and I had a question about the NVENC encoder. Whenever I try to start recording, I get this error message: Failed to start recording: Starting the output failed. Please check the log for details.
Note: If you are using AMD or NVENC encoders, make sure your video drivers are up to date.
My video drivers are up to date, and uninstalling and reinstalling numerous times has not worked.
Here is the link to the log: https://pastebin.com/qh6mBUm9

First, make the changes I suggested here: https://obsproject.com/forum/thread...-work-cant-start-recording.72234/#post-307941

Also its a pretty bad sign if Shadowplay doesn't even work like you said. You should raise the issue with Nvidia support to see if they can get Shadowplay to work, as OBS requires similar features. Once Shadowplay recording works we can expect OBS NVEnc recording to work as well.

You could try installing older GPU drivers, the original drivers that worked for NVEnc encoding were in the 330s. Try something like 335-340, if your version of Windows allows it. Not as a permanent thing, but as a test to see if the problem can be resolved with a different driver version.

Try seeing if NVEnc works with OBS Classic instead of OBS Studio.
