Hi.
Due to being completely broke and unable to get a PC CPU+mobo upgrade withing the next 6-12 months at the least and trying to squeeze some more performance for CSGO specifically, I was wondering if i can get the nVidia Jetson TK1 i have from few years ago thats pretty much just catching dust in my desk drawer for 4+ years now.... to do some offloading somehow, possibly on the Gaming PC that has 250-90 fps drops on CSGO making it shit for my 9800 DPI mouse settings.
So my setup is as it follows:
1) Gaming PC i7 3770, 2x4GB DDR3 1333, Intel DB75EN, 2x120GB SSD (no raided) main SSD OS + software 2nd one games, 1080Ti, Win 10 Pro x64 + OBS studio on NDI transmit
2) Streaming and Router PC Xeon E3-1230v3, 2x4GB DDR3 1333, a fucked up Asrock H61 Pro BTC that BSODs on chipset install and has 2500 lower benchmark than it has to have on that CPU, 120GB SSD, +2 PCI NIC 1x Killer 2100, 1x TP link.
Win 10 Pro x64 + OBS Studio on NDI receive and encode.
PS the streaming PC was handling 720p@60 fps encoding to twitch on 2700 kbps FAST preset for 2 months but 2 days ago out of nowhere started to have encoder overload and had to lower it from FAST to FASTER...
3) nVidia Jetson TK1 board + 0 linux knowledge and sits in its box in the drawer ...
The Jetson is using a modified linux L4T from nVidia
best option is if i can use the Jetson via USB 3.0 or GBPS LAN to support my gaming PC CPU CSGO or OBS side + maybe Chrome browser's for my chats and stream monitoring to squeeze out some more stable fps in CSGO.
pretty much as far as i can monitor OBS only takes <15% CPU load on the 3770 and thats with an 1080@60 NDI stream + YouTube 1080@60 4900kbps stream
a friend of mine who was configuring the Jetson back in ~2012-2013 was able to make it CPU boost his old PC via USB 2.0 and squeezed an extremely fast Dota2 load time from ~50s load time to <10s load time and around extra 60 fps in Dota2, and Dota2 is running the same Source Engine that runs CSGO
dou to him being overworked and also out of the country for the next 3+ months for work he cant really help me in the near future.
Would really love for some suggestion for help and preferably with linux for retards instructions included :D :D :D
