I am asking this question here just to understand more on how encoders work. Does having Instant Replay set to "On" have an impact on the performance of my OBS stream which is making use of the Nvenc (new) encoder? Since both instances are making use of the encoder simultaneously? (Please correct me if I'm wrong)

My current specs are as follows:

ASUS Prime B360-Plus Gaming Motherboard
Intel Core I5-9400F 6 Cores up to 4.1 GHz CPU
Corsair 16 GB (2X8) 2400 MHz RAM
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Windforce OC 6GB GDDR6
Western Digital 240GB Green SATA SSD
Seagate 1TB BarraCuda SATA Internal HDD
XT RX-500 Watts Power Supply

Every app that does its own capturing and encoding puts some stress to certain components of your PC, so yes, there is an impact. This impact may be noticeable or it may be not noticeable - it depends. You have to make your own tests, if the impact is noticeable for your own scenario. Nvidia Instant Replay is designed to make the smallest possible impact and is very successful in doing this, so there is a chance you don't notice if it is activated or not even while streaming.
