I upgraded from a 2080 Ti to the new 3080 and used a seperate 2060 for streaming the past year. I used this setup because all my GPU intense Games made my stream laggy as hell. I think around a year ago the NVENC did not work correctly and when the game I played took more than 95% of my 2080 Ti the stream did not work anymore because NVENC had no resources left.
Thats why I used the 2060 for streaming only and the 2080 Ti for gaming only. The thing is that I've read that if you use it like I did, I get a lose in performance because the content has to travel through the GPUs and then to the stream.
My questions now are:
1. Is that correct? If I use th 2060 seperatly for streaming do I get a performance lose over using just the 3080?
2. Does this problem still exist that if I stream AND game over the 3080 and my game takes over 95% of my GPU usage that the stream will lag?
