Question / Help Nvenc option will not show up in the encoder drop bar

HI all,
I am running a duel pc setup and my gaming pc is not showing up Nvenc option drop down bar in the encoder and also my obs is running very high any fix would be helful I have a lot of things but noting so far has fixed it.

According to this, you don't even have a driver installed; OBS is running using the default VGA driver that is used during Windows installs before the proper driver for your hardware is located.

NVENC is not available because OBS cannot see that you even have an Nvidia card installed; your GPU looks to OBS like the minimum spec default display because that's the driver Windows is using for it.

OBS still isn't able to detect your graphics card. In case you're connecting to that machine with rdp: don't do this. OBS must be run directly on the console and cannot be used through rdp. Otherwise uninstall the graphics card driver with DDU: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/ then reboot, then get the newest graphics driver from the nvidia or amd website and install it.

Ok I I uninstall the graphics drivers and rebooted and loaded up the latest graphics driver . I am not sure how to run obs in console how do I do that pls ?

By running OBS on the local console, they mean running it on your local computer-- not virtualized, not remotely.

That log line still indicates there's no driver for your GPU.

I don't think they are offering remote support, they are saying that if you are running OBS on your machine remotely you need to use TeamViewer or VNC to do it and not Microsoft Remote Desktop (RDP).

If you are note remotely controlling this machine or using a virtual machine then you need to install the correct GPU driver. If you've already tried that, then it's failed.

It might help to download a tool like GPU-Z and screenshot that to see what GPU it says you have installed, or look into the WIndows Device Manager and screenshot that under Displays.
