Question / Help NVENC Not working

Just a simple yet maybe complicated problem. After I updated my video drivers NVEC decoder stopped working. I can select it in options menu but every time I press start stream/record it juts won't react. When I switch to Quick Sync it is working fine but NVENC is not working. I think it might be connected with nvidia drivers or OBS itself. Anyone has similar issue?

I never was able to have Quick Sync AND NVENC work at the same time, as I was using my nVidia graphic card, and so disabled Quick Sync entirely. You saying that its working with Quick Sync makes me wonder if you're using either the internal graphic card or your nVidia card...?

I'm no expert, but if you were using Quick Sync on an internal graphic card, NVENC wouldn't work at all.

You can choose one or the other. In win 10 and 8 you can have both gpu's "active" but your main GPU will be the one with default display. But you can still use other GPU's if you have a purpose for it. So I have my GeForce card as my main rendering card and my second GPU is Intel GPU for when I want to use quick sync.

In OBS when I choose NVENC as my render method it gives me a dead start button but switching to QS fixes the problem.

Ok well... Good luck to you, I mean, I don't have your answer. Maybe try installing a previous drivers version? Dunno...
