Question / Help NVENC lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls. why?

i just found out that my stream looks lagged, but i didnt have frames dropped. checking the log i see the nvenc is crapping itself with almost 10% lagged frames.
its normal for a gtx 980 get rendering lag at 720p 45fps?

i tested lowering the fps to 30 and the rendering lag its gone. but thats not an optimal solution, im baffled how my gpu cant mantain 45fps rendering.
is this normal? maybe the nvidia drivers suck?

Presumably because your GPU is maxing out rendering Dead by Daylight, which isn't related to NVENC. Enable vsync or set a frame rate limiter and check your GPU load. OBS still needs a slice of GPU for scene compositing.

you are right it was dead by daylight new update using 95%+ GPU
its a bug in the game that it can be fixed by changing the video presets.
