[NVENC encoder: 'simple_h264_recording'] Failed to open NVENC codec: Unknown error occurred

Hi,

I'm running ThinkPad P1 with NVidia Quadro T1000, which I believe has NVENC capability.

I cannot get NVENC to run, all I get is subject's error found in the log below.

I have nvidia-driver-455 on Linux railers-video 5.4.0-58-generic #64-Ubuntu SMP Wed Dec 9 08:16:25 UTC 2020 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux.
I also have 5.8 kernel with same results.

I see OBS is loading the Mesa driver. Is this my culprit and could I have simple first steps to resolve OBS to pick up the T1000?

Whoaah.. should somebody stumple upon this I report that from another forum Askubuntu found a workaround to disable Secure Boot and it fixed my problem. NVENC is now working.
