Question / Help NVENC Documentation?

I have been searching the googles and this forum for documentation of all the NVENC settings. Most of the stuff i'm finding is pretty old. The rest of the stuff doesn't seem to be documented anywhere. All of the stuff Pascal supports doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere either.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

OBS Studio (v17.0.0) uses FFmpeg implementation of the NVENC. No custom ("native") code as it done for AMD VCE (AMF) or for Intel's Quick Sync in current build of the OBS Studio (via plugins). For more info, try to ask NVIDIA: https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-video-codec-sdk

Ok, thank you for the reply. So OBS is utilizing NVENC "as is", and all the presets and stuff were set up by NVIDIA. Got it.

Now to find where NVIDIA posted what these settings actually do.

I know theres a Post when we had the first Version of OBS with NVENC included in the very post is also a documentation but the information given in that is actually useless. There were things described like the framerate each Preset is capable of etc. but no real in depth information.

Best Chances are to dm Nvidia Support and hope they response with a proper answer to what NVENC actually does or changes with each Preset.
