My streaming configuration includes two computers, my desktop used for gaming and a second computer dedicated to encoding. My desktop would encode with NVENC at CBR 50mbps and my second computer would re-encode that with x264 at CBR 3mbps. After a recent update to OBS, my Nvidia drivers, or both, the actual output from OBS no longer matches the bitrate set in the settings.
When I set it to 50mbps, it will stream between 26mbps and 28mbps. If I set it to 25mbps, it will stream about 16mbps. If I set it to 100mbps, it will return an error saying the output failed.
Does anyone know what happened to the NVENC bitrates? They seem to be stuck at around 60% of whatever you set in the settings.
