NVDIA Broadcast Works Inconsistently

Hi I've been using OBS Studio for over five years. Using Nvdia Broadcast in OBS for probably 3 years. The routine has usually been the same. I open NVDIA Broadcast, do my settings, then open OBS and all is good. I like NVDIA Broadcast because of its background removal effect.

Since the past month or so, its been acting weird. At first, if it didn't work when I first opened OBS, I could get it to work by changing the scene to one that used the camera, then exit OBS, go back in again and then it would be fine. Seemed at first like it didn't like that I was opening OBS to a page without the camera in use.

Then this didn't fix it about two days ago.

Things I did were as follows.

Tried the webcam outside of NVDIA Broadcast. It was fine just as a C922 source.

Updated OBS. Since I wasn't always updating it.

Updated NVDIA graphics driver.

Uninstalled then Reinstalled NVDIA Broadcast.

I could try uninstalling and reinstalling OBS Studio but that would be a lot of trouble for me since then I would have to re-do a lot of work I have done in it.

Now I can fix it with a "brute force" fix which is annoying to have to do.

When I first go into OBS Studio, I can remove the camera source that uses NVDIA Broadcast. But then if I make a new camera source that ALSO uses NVDIA Broadcast, its seems to do a reset of some kind and then the camera works okay with NVDIA Broadcast as a camera source. After that, I can use the background removal effects and such as usual with NVDIA Broadcast.

Why?

And how can I fix this so I don't have to always go to this trouble?

I forgot to also mention that I was able to use NVDIA Broadcast in other apps including Zoom with no issues.
